Orange 1 Holding successfully completed its thirteenth acquisition with the Turin-based company Sicme Motori achieving the goal of becoming leader in the vectorial and synchronous motors market.

K Finance, Italian partner of Clairfield International, acted as financial advisor to the sellers, Pavesio e Associati as legal advisor and Studio Ferreri as fiscal advisor. Skema acted as financial advisor to Orange1 and Cerina Studio Legale as legal advisor.

Orange1, an international engineering group headquartered in Arsiè (BL), in 2016 reported total revenues for around Euro 149 million, employing more than 1,000 employees spread across 10 production plants in Italy, in the provinces of Belluno, Vicenza, Bergamo, Forlì-Cesena, Reggio Emilia and Turin, and in Romania and Hungary.

Founded in 1967, Sicme Motori S.r.l. manufactures variable speed AC and DC motors and represents one of the few players in the Italian market with the highest technological solutions for a large range of industrial applications. In 2015 Sicme Motori achieved total revenues of Euro 16 million with more than 90 employees. Since 2002, Sicme Motori has been actively collaborating with the Electrical Engineering Institute of the “Politecnico di Torino” and is one of the largest manufacturer of wind generators globally. Since 2008, Sicme Motori has also developed synchronous reluctance motors, the most innovative electric motors currently on the market, and in 2014 developed a patent-protected range of IE4 reluctance motors.
